I created this recipe based off of several other wheat beer recipes I read up on. I wanted to create an easy drinking back yard type beer. I have a batch of it in my keg right now that is being quickly drained by my friends and family and have all given rave reviews.

The Huell Melon hops create a very juicy fresh melon aroma that blends perfectly with the mango addition to create a well rounded Melon experience.

I used Mango extract this time for ease and because i wanted a very subtle mango flavor. I may add some fresh mango puree to the secondary next time as a variation but the beer is solid as is.

Nice! Have you tried Golden Road’s Mango Cart? I’ve been looking for something similar and couldn’t find anything so I made my own recipe. It tastes good but for both batches it has been darker than I would have liked so I think next time I’ll get rid of the crystal 10L.

Have you put in both packages of yeast for all of your batches?

Just brewed this recipe today. Ended up with 5.5 gallons in the fermenter. Instead of adding both types of yeast in, I only ended up adding the American wheat ale yeast (wyeast 1010). The wort smelled fantastic and tasted good too. Definitely could taste the dry finish of the Citra hops. Should turn out to be a good beer though. I’ll add the 2 oz of mango extract when it goes in the keg. My Original gravity ended up at 1.048 I’ll follow up when the beer is finished.
