Ok - first I want to thank everyone who has helped with my million questions - and told me:
"don't worry about it until it's aged"
Because today, I finally bottled my 2nd PM beer (1st one was a disaster) and it appears the following flavors:
1) astringency
2) band aid
are simply not there. all my worry and confusion...and the beer tastes good....
it's about 6 weeks old now - been in the secondary for 4 weeks ++. It'll take another week to carbonate of course...but I'm so very very happy.
it's a pale ale - in reality, the color is closer to amber - but it's got a bit of a sweet flavor, good hopping - and better malt taste - I'd guess I can attribute this to the grains...
I can't wait to try it again in a week =)
again, thanks everyone.
Now, I've got to study for my exam in 2 weeks - and then after I ace that one - I'm brewing a PM stout & a mead. woo hoo!
