Stretch 3/16" tubing over 3/8" barb?

Mcmaster doesn't have the part I need and I want all the quick connects in my system to be the same.

Can I stretch 3/16" tubing over 3/8" barb?

Thanks. I searched and couldn't find the answer. Don't want to buy the qc if they won't work. Other solution is to buy the npt ones and then use npt hose barbs of the right size.

I've barely been able to stretch 3/16" over a 1/4" barb, so I would say no you cannot likely stretch it it 3/8" without compromising the tubing itself.

Heat it up in some boiling water and give it a shot.

Run a flame over the end of the tubing until it gets soft.

I'd buy the npt adapter then use an nptxbarb fitting. Stretching 3/16 tubing over 3/8 barb is going to be near impossible.
