I just brewed a Pale Ale kit and would like to experiment with adding a strawberry flavor. I've decided on doing fresh strawberries vs. extract. I have some questions about the process. 1)How many fresh strawberries do I use for a 5 gal batch? 2)When do I cut, and sanitize the strawberries and what do I sanitize in? Also, I've read that freezing beforehand is better? 3)When should I rack to the secondary? And for how long?
