I have a question. I brewed a triple IPA for a competition that is happening in a week. I plan on force carbonating the keg (i know i shouldn't do this for a competition beer but I didn't hear about it until too late).

So i am having a party at my house next weekend and I don't want the triple IPA on tap for this, i would rather throw on a Kolsh for everyone. If i force carbonate this keg and pull a growler this weekend for the competition, can i just put the keg in the closet then? Will it just stay carbonated?

I typically use priming sugar in my kegs and store them in my closet until a tap opens up...but like i said...i am running late

thanks for the advice

Just disconnect it and store it. As long as the keg is tight, you will be fine.

I have disconnected kegs for weeks with no ill effects. I can only fit 2 kegs in my keezer, so I do this (to some extent) with all my pipline.
