sticky quick disconnects

I have ball lock QD's and have been using them for about 6-9 months now. They used to slide right onto the post and come off quickly and easily as well. Now they are much more difficult to remove. It seems they pop up slightly and then it takes a lot of effort to pull them off. Everytime I change the keg I clean, sanitize, and lube with keg lube. Is this a sign that the o-ring needs replaced? Or is there residue buildup inside the QD causing sticking? Anyone experience this?

That is normal. If your beer tastes good don't worry about it.

Sounds like you're not taking them apart when soaking/cleaning?!

Use a screw driver in that slot on top and unscrew it for cleaning. The QDs consist of 5 parts.

kinda ashamed to say I didn't know that they came apart. Well I'm looking at one now all taken apart. All seems well. I'll just give it a good soak and hopefully that does the trick. Thanks for the responses

It helps to put some keg lube on the 2 pieces of rubber in there also.
