I do try and support my LHBS when I can. I buy almost all my regular ingredients/supplies from them. But for more major hardware, they often either don't carry it or their prices are out of line.
So, I spend a lot of time searching all of the online vendor websites looking for the best deal on a particular item. I'm sure a lot of the other HBer's out there do the same thing. Maybe we could all save each other a lot of time. If we do an exhaustive search and find the best deal on a particular item, post that info in a single thread to make it available for everyone.
