Ok interesting, I recived a 3L wine bottle from a freind and I was looking at it and thinking about my Vieux Cheateau d'Oc in the fermenter. A big red like this one would benifit from bulk aging. I was looking at this big bottle and thinking it might be a good idea to place 3L in that bottle and drink it last giving it some time to age and mellow out. Problem is I cant seem to find a large cork to fit it and my floor corker wont compress a cork that large. Anyone know where to get a cork that large? Or how to get it in?? Would a natural cork stopper for a carboy work? Ideas?

Hmmm that sounds like an interesting experiment to try. Most of them are taperd right? I will look into this further.
