About half of the Sterling leaves that are growing show sign of discolor. I am not sure what would cause this... if it would be a deficiency of nutrients or too much of something else. I live in Hawaii and it is quite hot, but they are growing in a slightly shaded area... get watered every other day.

I suspect, like my Sterlings, it is getting watered too often. Recommend you water deeply once a week, even in Hawaii, and not every other day. I asked my wife to stop watering my hops 3-4 times a week and allow me to do a heavy soak each weekend. We will see if that works (of course not it is raining here for the next few days, so Mother Nature is helping me verify that overwatering is the culprit...doh!!).
