is it better to use bottled water in beer
and do you have to use sterilesed water in the air lock

For brewing, bottled or boiled water is the rule of thumb.

As for the airlock. Sterile water isn't necessay. I use sanitizer, some use vodka. Either are ok. I like the sanitzer, since I have it sitting 2.5 gallons anyhow.
