Maybe I'll find some love here, here's how I spent my saturday. Thanks BobbyM and BargainFittings for making such great products. All that's left now is to drill the eyebolt and calibrate these bad boys!

Still need to decide on some burners. Thinking I might spring for the stainless blichmanns. The KAB6's sound like they eat up too much propane for my taste.

This week, I'll build the 50' IC and a stainless hop spider.

Waiting on my digital thermometer probe for the mash tun. Still in shipping.

10 gallon batches here I come! Woot! :ban:

According to the Blichmann specs:

"A 72,000 BTU/hr burner that is a great blend of heating power and efficiency."

AND the KAB6:

"This propane burner kicks out the minimum of 210,000 + BTUs which are a result from a combination of the high pressure regulator and large 10 inch cast iron element."

Maybe I missed something but 210k vs. 72k doesn't sound the same.

it's the same cast burner, but the regularors are different IIRC, the blichmanns use one that uses way less propane. the test they show on their website prove it. i just got a good deal on my KAB4, so i opted for it
