So, I checked my keg for leaks this afternoon. I sprayed all the connections with starsan (diluted as normal for sanatizing). Some overspray got on my co2 tank (painted steel - looks like an old fire extinguisher)

do I need to worry about the star-San corroding the co2 tank? I gave it a quick wipe-off, but I’m sure some residue is still on there. Do I need to unhook the tank and rinse it with a hose or something? Picturing the tank rusting through, rupturing and blowing up my fridge :) 007CA3F8-8DCE-4E82-860C-09C7E4377B6E.jpeg

The paint protects it. Just wipe it off. Especially the top of the neck where the valve screws in, that's exposed bare steel. Not that's going to eat through all that fast...

So, RDWHAHB!
