Stainless vs. Brass drip tray

I need to pick up a 36" drip tray for a kegerator I'm building, but $130 for a stainless tray is outrageous. I can get a brass one for $50. Any advantages or disadvantages, other than the obvious (appearance)?

First pop on google search is half that. It's a stainless pan with poly grid, maybe a good alternative?

I wish it was the other way around! Although, I suppose the grid is the difficult half of the equation.

In my opinion, SS is always the way to go. It won't flake. It won't discolor. It will last forever. You can buy it used and it will still be in good shape.

That being said - it's crazy expensive, so sometimes it makes more sense to buy brass with the understanding that you'll probably end up replacing it in a few years.

Don't know if it's an option two split it into two, but I have one of these and it's great. You could get 2 19" ones for a total of $32. And it's stainless.
