Hi Everyone,

Curious to know if anyone has experimented with using a stainless steel braided scrubber pad in their fermentor (preferably conical type) as a means to filter out whole hops?

I grew a ton of hops this year and plan on dedicating my next 6 months of brewing to use these hops exclusively. This also has me interested in being able to dry hop in my SS Brewtech Chronical and also conduct a pressurized transfer as to retain the delicate hop aromas.

The braided scrubber will stay on my dip tube pretty well however what I am curious about most is if the fermentation process has the potential to knock the scrubber loose and thus lose my filtration.

This is what I am referring to as the scrubber:

Fermentation can be pretty active but not active enough to move metal. I have no idea if that’ll work or not.
