No, that's not a typo. They actually call it "Sorgham", not "Sorghum". I have no idea why.
I've had this beer a number of times and wasn't ever too thrilled with it, despite that the label mentions "American amarillo hops", every one I'd had previously tasted like a Heineken. Last night, however, I decided instead of grabbing the first bottle on the shelf, I'd grab one toward the back. They're packaged in green glass bottles and probably aren't fast movers, so I reckoned that the one sitting on the front of the shelf was probably stale and skunked.
Well, I was right! Grabbing a fresher bottle made a huge difference, and I'll say without hesitation that it was the best GF beer I've ever had. I did not notice the sorghum "twang", just a nice smooth malty body, and the Amarillo hops came through POWERFULLY with lots of citrus and tropical fruit. There was still a bit of a skunky aroma at first, as one would expect from what a pilsener, but it tasted like a completely different beer.
So I recommend that if you do ever find this beer, grab one from the back of the shelf.
