First, thanks to all the good folks for the wealth of info here.
Scrounging stuff for my E-build. Will these work to control an element? It is SCR instead of DC switch, does that make a difference? Has built in heat sink and I found a couple cheap.

Manufacturer:
Crydom
Description: Solid State Relays DIN SSR 660Vac/45A 3-32Vdc In,ZC

That will work just fine. (Provided your PID outputs between 3-32V DC)

Actually, I'm going to have to (potentially) rescind that. An SCR could potentially be used find for this purpose, I'm not sure if that exact SCR can be used for this purpose.

Is there a part number on it?

Found the datasheet. It is a zero-crossing, for resistive loads.
Should be good for element control.
Thanks for reply.
Dale
