just purchased the 5 gallon electric rig from Ss and trying to figure out the best way to translate to Beersmith 3. looking for any recommendations or help to try and ensure legit efficiency. 2 10 gallon kettles and the 10 gallon infussion mashtun. also got the rims and herms set up. thanks in advance!

all you have to do is measure your kettles and hoses for dead space with water and enter the numbers ... I'd put in 75% efficiency to start and then adjust that number after you brew with it and have a baseline... There is no "legit" or fixed efficiency, it will vary with brewer not just equipment because of many variables such as mill gap and herms pump speed, boil power settings. Basically as how a brewer utilizes the equipment. Everyones setups will usually vary.

Definitely gonna want to check that dead space. That's a killer for new brewers like yourself. Post some pics of the completed brewhouse too! I'm sure we can give you a few pointers to make sure you get up and running!
