Well almost I tapped the maple trees on Sunday and I have about a gallon of sap already :) I plan on making a gallon of syrup which is roughly 120 gallons of sap. If we get more than 4-5 weeks of daytime highs in the 30-40,s and nighttime lows below freezing I may get more.

There really is no set time to start the taps but on Sunday afternoon my Jeep had sap all over it so I knew the trees in my yard were running.

It has been warmer than normal here in Eastern Washington.

I have spring fever bad!

Season is over . Its 72° outside now and any sap that was in the buckets is now soured. I ended up with a gallon and half not a bad season and a pint goes for around 6$ at the local sugaring places .
