I have a yeast question. I once brewed a belgium wit and when i opened the vial of yeast it kind of exploded and I bet I lost 1/2 the yeast, but my beer still fermented fine. Today I am planning on brewing 2 5 gallon batches of a summer Kolsh. My pot is only 8 gal so I have to brew 2 5 gallons. Do I need to buy 2 vials of the Kolsh yeast or could I just use 1/2 in each batch. I am thinking I could use 1/2, but I want confirmation from you guys. Thanks!!!

the more yeast you put into each batch the better. a vial for each. i would recommend making a starter for each but it sounds like its to late for that your already getting ready to brew.

yeah, unfortunely I never plan ahead but so far white labs has been awesome. I'll take the advice and go for 2 vials of yeast...thanks!!
