Can I make a batch and spilt? Half ale and half lager. If so, any recipe suggestions? I was thinking a smash. Maybe Maris otter and east Kent goldings.

I bet Ed Wort's Centennial Blonde would be a good candidate. You have duel fermentation temperature capability I assume.

I can ferment an ale in my cellar. It's at 60 ambient and I have a Keezer which I can lager in. Do you think a smash would work?

Sure. 2 row and Centennial, split 'ER up and get it done. That's my stock, house recipe for basic blonde and its striking how lager-like it comes out. I keep it at 64 and use US05...tasty. An Ipa chaser.

I bet your Otter and Goldings would make a fine blonde ale lager split too.
