Spicy Belgian type taste with Conan yeast

Brewed a pale ale out of last ingredients on hand to get rid of them with quite a bit of rye and Conan yeast... It was spicy. My next brew was an all citra with Conan and it tastes almost exactly the same. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I do use swamp cooler so higher temps are my first suspect.
