Soldering SS weld fitting

Anybody attempt to butt solder SS weld fittings together? Normally tig welded but I don't have the equipment.

I've had good luck soldering fittings into kettles using stay Brite liquid flux and silver solder (2%-6% silver). Gentle heat, lots of Flux and let the solder flow is all it takes.

Can't see why this won't work. If it does, I'm going to make a custom RIMS tube.

Any feedback back or input appreciated.

Depending on the size it may be difficult to clean / grind / polish the inside of the finished item. The parts will want to cool down pretty quick, not sure if that will have an impact on the final solder set, but I would think it will be fine.

I think it will work fine, as long as your solder process is good, which it sounds like it is based on your experience doing it.
