I'm an experienced homebrewer (12 years). My last 4 batches have had a rather dirty taste and smell. The first was all grain. The next three were extract (trying to eliminate DMS and other potential causes). I have cleaned and sanitized my fermenter vigorously but the problem persists.
I dont taste/smell the problem on the way into the fermenter but certainly on the way out. My guess is that the issue is being introduced during fermentation.
I have an SS brewtech brew bucket fermenter. Im considering buying another one to see if that is the issue but that seems dumb. What am I missing?
Thanks all!
Tommy
