There was a middle aged warrior living in the middle of nowhere, Iowa the day after a blizzard. Single degree temperature with a 30 mph wind = unGodly windchill whipping up the freshly fallen miniature ice daggers. Bundled up in his mittens and snowpants he braves the elements to head face to face with the almighty single-stage, two-stroke, pull-start snowblower. 20 minutes and a sore shoulder later the beast roars to life and turns to face the 70' x 9 1/2 foot flat gray dragon out front. The 21" machine battles the 24" drifts bravely, and after an hour long battle the dragon has met its match. Triumphantly, the warrior returns the single stage to its lair and returns to his humble abode - parched, frozen finger tips, and rosy cheeks.
But what is available to calm the suburban dryness? It seems a difficult hunger.
Requirements:
Drinkable and digestable - heavy is not needed after a battle
abv likely in the 7-9%, enough to thaw those little pinkies in 16oz
Malt, caramel, biscuit, and earthyness.
Sweetness - it surely exists.
Carbonation - maybe not?
Smooth enough to be taken at room temp, dare I say even warmed???
Oh, fellows - CAN IT BE DONE? Slay the dragon.
