Ok I just brain stormed a simple hoppy brew and was looking for some suggestions. Maybe what it might taste like.

12lbs Munich 10l

1oz Chinook 60min
1oz Amarillo 20min
1oz of Amarillo and centennial at 5 min
Yeast???
Simple recipe I was thinking to get some hoppiness with a strong malt backbone.

Tettnang is a natural fit with Munich, though.
WooHooo! Munich + Tett!

Brewed a lot of SMaSH beers when I first went AG. This is the only one still in my rotation. Usually go with Wyeast 2308 Munich Lager yeast, but last batch did an experiment with Pacman fermented in the mid to low 50's. Tested it in a big local competition. Scored a 34.5 in the Munich Dunkel subcategory. No yeast related comments. Not bad for a qseudo-lager in a lager category.

Disclaimer:
Originally brewed as a SMaSH with a portion of the Munich malt toasted in my oven. Got lazy with this last batch and used a small amount of Carafa III Special for color, so technically not a SMaSH.
