For those here in the Pacific Northwest who have not heard yet, Skagit Valley Malting is no more.
They have filed for bankrupcy and is permanantly closed.

Skagit Valley Malting is closed permanently. Sources say that the company has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

Never heard of them, but being new and migrating towards Morebeer for my purchases I probably wouldn't Too bad to see it though.

Bummer. Being local we've been using their base malts almost exclusively.

Also losing an awesome LHBS at the end of the month.

Good News, Micro Homebrew is staying open, new owners purchased the store. Bummer about Skagit Valley Malting

I never tried the skagit malts but it seemed like they had some interesting malts.

Curious if anyone tried the malt that had beta amylases that stayed active at higher temps and how the beers turned out.
