I have searched this forum and can't find a definite answer. How big is the opening on a 5 gallon glass carboy? I got one from work (I work in a lab) and it is a little over 2". It seems bigger than most typical carboys used for brewing. Is there any reason why I can't use this and will I be able to find stoppers that big? Thanks

Better Bottles also have bigger openings. Yes, you should be able to find bigger stoppers.

AHS has lots of different sizes, I'm sure you will find one and be able to use it. I was in their store last week and they have a large selelction in the store. You may have to call them.

thanks, I guess I could also get one from a lab supply company as well.
