Hi,

I will be doing an IPA batch tomorrow and want make sure that the Citra and Simcoe will go well together. I never used Citra before so I want it to go well. Total IBU 54 for 6% abv. Here is my hop schedule:

Bravo 0.5oz 60min
Citra and Simcoe 0.5 oz each @ 10min
". ". ". ". 0.5 oz each @ flameout/hopstand steep 15min
". ". ". ". 1 oz each dry hop 7 days

I also have summit hops as an option. Thanks for your input.

im pretty sure Alpine's Duet is simcoe and citra so.....yeah id say they go well together

im not sure that's enough hops for an IPA though. Is this a 5gal batch? The IPA I brewed last had 1oz@60 / 2oz@10 / 4oz@0 / 4oz@hopstand / 2oz @dry and I've given it to people that supposedly "dont like IPAs" with good results

Awesome hop combo. My house AIPA uses those two exclusively (well, a bit of Columbus for bittering). Good enough to nab a 39 at the NHC this year. Do it!
