I've had mine for a couple of years from Bobby M. No problems, besides...it's really not made of glass. At least mine isn't.

The Blichmann kettles have a borosilicate sight glass that is protected on three sides by metal. Almost impossible to break (and if it does, replacements are cheap).

Had mine over 2 years now. I even purchased a spare in case I broke on. Mine is not glass either and I believe it is worth it to have it available on my HLT. A ten gallon HLT (electric) is used off the top tier of my 3 tier system so it makes life easier.

Salute! :mug:

Bobby_M uses polycarbonate so not chance it will break. Blichmann uses Pyrex glass which is super strong and is protected on three sides. We use Pyrex glass and have it shielded all the way around. No reason it should break unless abused.
