It was my 45th birthday so we went to Chico for 2 nights. First stop was Sierra Nevada brewery.... lunch was good. 4 x 2oz pours for $3.... so, I tried 12 beers. Tour was ok.... brewery is huge... pretty much like a Budweiser I went to before. 800 barrel fermenters and 5 vessel brewing 24x7.

There are some new styles but also the standard “craft” beer that most places have moved past. You could cut the crystal malt and bitterness in half.... these days.

Tried the new Orange Pale Ale. Gave my opinion on the new packaging.

Glad I went. But shocking how big Sierra Nevada is...

Stopped by for a tour several years ago. Yes, it's very large for what most of us consider "craft". But, compared to Budweiser, the brewery is pretty small and it's one facility, where Bud has dozens of uber sized plants around the country and I assume the world.
