Should I use a keg for a keggle?

The keg is probably stainless steel. However, if indeed you do have one of the old, now rare aluminum kegs, it will work just fine.

Do a forum search for the words stainless and aluminum - it's been debated to death, and the result is usually a draw.
 
It's probably stainless steel if it's newer.

Either way, it'll be fine. If it is aluminum, just boil some water in it for 20 or 30 minutes before you brew with it, to build up a passive oxide layer.

I've been using aluminum to brew for the past several months and it's been fine. I just built a keggle, so I'm switching over, but the aluminum worked fine.
