Otter Creek 20th anniversary, to be exact.
I usually drink iipa's that are best fresh. My brother shipped me a bottle of this among others.
Will this age well? 12%, so maybe time will smooth the alcohol burn?
Should she be in the cellar with the others, or put her down tonight... With other others.

Believe strong ales should age well. The high ABV combined with a smaller hop presence helps. I'm currently aging a St. Arnold DR12, which is also a strong ale.

Thank you! Away she goes into the darkness with my (relatively few) others.

LOVE American strongs. Brewing one this weekend but I usually buy two or three. One to drink and one a year later. I judge what to do with the last by the taste of the year old one.

I find that New Years Eve is a great excuse to do this. Wifey goes out and buys champagne and other things, I buy barleywines and american strongs (Belgians too) and have one that night and save the rest. I get a nice pipeline that way, have done it for two years now.
