Greetings,

Ive done a search and came up with varying results and wanted to get some fresh opinions.

Can I remove a partially filled and properly carbonated keg from tap service and hit it with about 30psi and store it for a few weeks while I travel? Can the same be done for a new beer that has yet to be carbonated?

Thanks for the help.

Everything except the 30psi part. Why would you want to add more carbonation to a properly carbonated keg?

If the keg is uncarbonated, you can give it a big blast and it will equalize down significantly while you're gone.

Thanks! So for the kegs that are all ready carbonated, the pressure all ready in the keg is enough to hold it assuming no leaks?
