I have my first beer in my secondary it has been in there about a week, there is a thin layer of yeast sediment on the bottom. How much sediment do you guys get, or maybe I tranfered some of it when I was transfering it from the primary. I plan on leaving it in the secondary for another week, I am sure there is no harm with it being on this thin yeast cake right?

This is entirely normal. The purpose of a clearing or bright tank is to settle all of the junk out. If you are using a carboy, you can actually watch the "murky" layer get smaller every day.

Repeat this mantra: "The Yeast is still alive."

thanks guys yeah I have noticed it getting darker
