Morning everyone

I just recently transferred my second brew ever, an IPA, to corny kegs for secondary & dry hop.

When I pull the bleeder valve, one has obviously sealed, the other... nothing. I believe that the lid is not getting a good seal.

Is this a concern at this stage? I planned to let it go for two weeks.

Thanks

If the gasket is seated properly all the way around and it's just not sealing, I wouldn't worry about it for secondary conditioning. Obviously putting it under pressure is a different story.

I'm assuming they aren't hooked up to gas, as you're intending to secondary and not carbonate. I wouldn't expect either of the valves to be holding pressure. Whatever CO2 you blew into the kegs to seat the lids will dissolve into the beer.

Correct. I'm not hooked up to gas. Just trying to secondary. I had not thought of blowing in a little CO2 to seat the lids... It never occurred to me. I was just hoping that the one that is leaking slightly through the lid will not affect any flavors of the beer or have any adverse effect.

It’ll be fine. Nothing will likely get in through the lack of seal and at this point it’s a pretty inhospitable environment.
