Secondary for Hefe?

I am brewing a beer for a family visit and am running short on time. I have 2 1/2 weeks before they arrive. I have had a simple Weihenstephaner style Hefeweizen fermenting in primary for 7 days. Would I gain anything by letting it set in secondary for a 3-4 days? Or should I keep it in primary for 10days total? I do plan on bottle conditioning... I know...there may not be enough time. I'm hoping that 14 days will do it. Any ideas?

Just keep it in primary for the 10 days and bottle, I am bottling a Weihenstephaner style hefe as we speak, brewed 10 days ago, not much you can do about the bottle conditioning process though...You can always crack one open and at least test it when they get there, if it seems carbed enough drink it!

Just keep the bottles above 70F for about 10 days and they should be fine.

good luck on carbing them up.

warmer temps will speed the process along. Definatley no need to secondary a wizen. If you hit your FG on day 7 or 8, I wouldn't be afraid to bottle it then.

My Dunkelwizen recipe only takes 8 days till i keg it.
