Just had ballast point sculpin ipa for the first time. To me it taste onion and garlicky. What hop is causing that. Ot sure if i like it

Its faint and in the background. Is that from bitter addition or flavor addition

Mostly flavor I believe, sometimes I catch this on CTZ heavy beers and this is one of them.

Never had this beer before but heavy simcoe hopped beers taste oniony to me, but in a good way.

I've never tasted oniony from Sculpin... mostly citrusy deliciousness!... Do you know the age on your bottle or can? Maybe that is the difference... or if it was on tap, maybe they need to clean their lines?
