Is Jack Schmidling still making and selling mallmills? Has his website changed? His home page looks the same, but whenever I go to the Ordering Info page, it comes up as a blank page. The Maltmill page comes up as not found.

That's what I thought when I was on the website a couple of weeks ago. The problem website occurred then, and has not changed. I would think that any website issues would have been resolved by now.

Looks like Jack is well and good. He just posted here: http://hbd.org/hbd/archive/1192.html#1192-9

Just kidding. If you go to that link, look up 3 posts for a most interesting one. haha. John Palmer started like the rest of us.

I have a JSP mill. It's a workhorse. I bought it used, and I suspect it will outlive me. Much kudos to the man.

Man that reference to HBD takes me back. There were a lot of people who were influential in the homebrewing community as authors or inventors at that time like George Fix who regularly contributed to HBD. I did an advanced google search and found that my first post to HBD was April 5th, 1993 while in grad school.

Thanks for this. I was devoted to the JSP Maltmill and pounded I don't know how much malt through it "back then." And as for HBD, thanks for bringing this up, too. Aside from seeing John Palmer as a new brewer in there, which did give me a chuckle, it brought me back to how much I loved the site and how much I learned - and will again. #3268 has a reference to my brief review of our trip to England in #3266. I'd completely forgotten. Reading some other posts of mine, when I was pretty thick in things, I don't recognize that person. Odd.

I'm looking forward to reading through these again. Thanks again.
