Hi,

I wanted to start making little 1 gallon recipes to get into the practice of extract brewing but not sure how i'd cut down the amount of extract needed. If a recipe calls for 6 pounds and when I cut it down it only needs 1.5 pounds how would I do that with liquid when it comes in a can?

You will have to weigh out the amount you need, then somehow store the remainder in a sealed container.

Since you are doing such a small batch why mess with LME. Just make this batch will all DME because it doesn't need to be stored in a sealed container and it will be much easier to get the right amount.

What's the ratio when converting a recipe. LME x 20%= x
LME - x = DME
