I just moved a beer to the secondary and would like to use the yeast cake for another beer I am planning. The problem is it will probably be a week or two before I can brew it. I tossed an airlock on the carboy, will it be ok sitting there for a week or two to use for my next batch?

Thanks!

Thats probably fine for a week with beer on top as homebrewer suggested. Any longer and I'd wash it and store it in the fridge.

I just mixed 2 yeast cakes from 2 batches for washing...that's all yeast... :rockin:

Anyone want some WLP351 Bavarian Hefe Weizen yeast???:D
