So I have some pink sanitizer called J-512. It says it's food grade. Anyone have experience using this for sanitizing equipment and fermenters?

I looked it up, everything I saw said it was food grade no rinse sanitizer so I think it would work...but I have never used or heard of it before.

J-512 is a quarternary ammonium (quat) based sanitizer. Quat based sanitizers are no rinse food contact at the correct dilutions but generally not used in brewing. This is due to the fact that they kill head retention. It is also possible that the small amount carried over when not rinsing will have a detrimental impact on yeast.
