Rye Ale

I just did a partial grain rye ale, it is came with 4oz of hops, that seems more like an IPA then a rye ale. Opinions?

Sounds like a rye IPA, Denny has a great one brewed by many!

Edit: what's the ABV? Could just be a hoppy rye but if the ABV is up there then IPA

I use 4.5 oz. hops in my Rye Pale & it's awesome. 1.5 oz. is dryhop. It's hoppy, but not extreme at all.

Depends on aau and addition times and gravity.my rye pale I use about 4oz in a 4gallon but I like it hoppier than a normal pale
