I did my primary fermentation in a plastic bucket. I racked to secondary today and realized that the bottom half of the rubber o-ring that seals the hole for the airlock had dry rotted and apparently broken off when I inserted my airlock and fallen into the beer during fermentation. I found the bottom half in the trub when I was cleaning the bucket. Does anyone know if this could be harmful to the beer? I know that the buckets and lids and everything are considered food grade but I'm not sure about the rubber o-ring thing.

If anyone can give me any info on this it would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to know something before I attempt to bottle this stuff in a couple of weeks.
