Tasting Notes
Slightly spicy rye malt character, dank/citrus/tropical hop flavor and aroma
This is my grain bill for IPA's from now on. Just enough character to stand up to the hops, but gets out of the way and finishes super clean.

I'll switch out the late hops for some variety, and probably try kolsch yeast as well.

I'll use some rice hulls as well next time.

Grain Bill

14 LBS of Rahr 2-row (56.6%)
5 LBS US Malted Rye (20.2%)
2 LBS US 20L Munich (8.1%)
1.5 LBS US Flaked Rye (6.1%)
1.25 LBS US Carapils (5.1%)
1 LB US White Wheat (4%)

Single Infusion for 1 HR at 151

Hops (Rager Formula)

1.25 OZ Nugget 15.2% at 60 Mins (33IBU)
1 OZ Nugget 15.2 at 30 Mins (13.1 IBU)
6 OZ Falconers Flight 10% at Flameout (25.1) IBU
4 OZ Falconers Flight Dry Hop

Recirculated wort for 20 Mins before chilling, IBU Calculations account for this.

First time using Falconer's Flight. The blend of dank and citrus is fantastic.

Its named River Rock IPA as I used a fist sized river rock to keep the ghetto rigged hop spider from floating. I hadn't used pellets in a while.

How did this turn out? Looks like something I would like to try never used the falcons flight before.

It's fantastic. It's old enough now that the hops are starting to fade. I really enjoyed the falconers flight. A good blend of dank and citrus/tropical

10 gallons finished

I collect 13 gallons boil down to 11 gallons and transfer 10.5 ish to fermenters.

My mash efficiency was 75. Started at 1.058 finished at 1.008
