Thinking of changing up my RIS recipe a bit. It's still in the general direction of the old recipe (which is great) but tweaked a bit.

How does this look?

78% Maris Otter
4% Caramunich (maybe drop all together)
3% Flaked Barley
3% Chocolate (350 SRM)
3% Carafa Special III
3% C-40
3% C-120
1.5% Roasted Barley
1.5% Black Patent

Overall, fairly solid. I’d recommend using two-row instead of otter, otter will make it too bread-y. Caramunich is unnecessary; a RIS will have enough body anyway. I’d go for regular Munich (a good malt taste without the bread).

As long as you’re extracting enough maltriose, and hop properly (about 1.0 BU/GU), it should be good!
