Let's say that a person wanted to make a recipe that called for 1.25lbs. of rice syrup, but all that was available was rice syrup solids. Can this be substituted and if so, how would I calculate? I've been looking around for a bit and I can't seem to figure it out. I've seen places stating that they can be substituted for one another but I can't find any conversion information. I bet some of you seasoned folk out there know :) Or maybe have an idea where I might look.

Thanks! I knew that the malt extracts were about 20% water, but I wasn't sure if the same conversion could be used for additional ingredients as well. I figure that it was close, but I just wanted to be sure.
