reuse chiller for herms exchanger?

I want to try out herms. I have a 3/8" copper chiller that I was thinking about using dual purpose. Can anyone advise against this? I am mainly concerned that such a small line will prove tough to keep clean.

Also will grain pieces go through a march pump?

If you run some PBW through after the fact, it should be clean enough for government work. During your chill, you'll run plenty of hot water through.

March will handle grain bits no problem.
