Brewpastor
Beer, not rocket chemistry
I brewed an epic beer. A massive, golden, bright barleywine that has a delicate malt profile. Hopped to balance for the long haul. 50 gallons of perfection.
Stupid amount of grain with lots of wasted all for the goal of a high gravity, all-grain wort that wasn't boiled down.
Three mashes, the wort from the first going into the next.
Mash 1: 55# Golden Promise, 18# Pilsner, 17# 2-row
Mash 2: 55# Standard 2-row
Mash 3: 55# Maris Otter, 18# Pilsner,17# 2-row
Boiled with calculated IBUs of 125
Added a fifth of Bullit Rye Whiskey blended with an equal amount of maple syrup to the primary after primary fermentation.
I call it "Kiss Your Ass Goodbye"
