I noticed some small Husky In-Line Regulators at Home Depot (or 125 PSI Air Flow Regulator with Gauge) today and was thinking that these could be used in conjunction with those cheap-o Harbor Freight manifolds and maybe some valves (maybe not).

What are the thoughts on using those small regulators? I'm thinking use the normal big one connected directly to my tank for overall pressure. Then I could use the small in-line regulators to carb at different levels for lagers, ales and stouts.

Not the most cost effective but I can get the equipment at any time thanks to retail.

Those are not regulators in the sense, they are a limiting valve and pressure will creep up, they work fine if running a paint gun or air tool wide open, but will not work in the way you want it to work.

buy a real co2 regulator, diaphragm type, you can always add another later for multi-pressure set up

I'd thought about the same thing but with this guy from Harbor Freight:

I never pulled the trigger due to the fact that you really don't have the low end range you need.

I first had the idea when I visited a local small brewery that had a series of something that looked like them outside his cold room. I went home and looked at my HVLP spray gun but realized it wouldn't work very well.
