Regulator issue with soda stream

I have a basic regulator that has one small gauge to show psi pressure with a plus and minus screw black adjuster to add remove co2. Was fine with the first bottle. When I screw this regulator on to my sofa stream bottle co2 starts to piss out fast have no idea why any help more then welcome.

Are you sure they're supposed to mate correctly?
I'd be surprised if Soda Stream doesn't use proprietary connections...

Thaks.for the message yes I have used one before was sold with a taps pipe and regulator with a bottle of soda stream was fine last time I did this
